Sansevieria cylindrica
Sansevieria cylindrica
Sansevieria cylindrica is related to the common snake plant or mother-in-law tongue. It doesn't like freezing temperatures, but otherwise can take a wide range of soil and water conditions. Half a day of sun seems to be what they prefer. Cuttings are as easy as cutting the thick stems that join it to the main body of plants. They are very hardy and can be left on a shelf for a couple of months before planting.
Each leaf is tipped with a needle-sharp point, so hang it or plant it somewhere that you don't plan to ever have to go.
