Hamatacactus setispinus
Hamatacactus setispinus like full sun but can grow with less than half a day of sun. Water-tolerant in the spring.
They start throwing off big yellow flowers when they are only a couple of months old and are
self-pollinating. Bees love them, as do bumblebees. They only take a few weeks after that to
produce red seed pods. The seeds germinate easily.
Hamatacactus are very sensitive to chemicals of any kind. Stink bugs love them.
